The Telepathy Tapes
Paranormal studies, loneliness, the well-intentioned but overly-skeptical, and the well-intentioned but underly-skeptical

If you’re interested in weird shit, parapsychology, or podcasts you’ve likely heard about the Telepathy Tapes, a podcast about how some people with severe autism may be telepathic. Or may not be. I listened to three episodes. That's enough. I believe in telepathy and miracles. I also believe in hoaxes, frauds, lonely and desperate people, and well-intentioned but misguided new agers.
The premise of the podcast is that some people with severe autism have telepathic abilities and paranormal experiences. They communicate this by something called "spelling,” a discredited method of communication for nonverbal autistic people, similar to facilitated communication--and, yet, sometimes seems to get extraordinary results.
